Dean move proves a double-edged sword
The recent announcement by Howard Dean that he will not participate in the presidential public financing system is a precedent-setting move. It will make him the first Democrat since the program started to opt out, and it is likely that other democratic candidates will follow suit.

North Korea should have been top priority
It comes as no surprise that two recent intelligence reports show that North Korea and Iran both are rapidly approaching nuclear capability. While the United States was invading Iraq and looking for weapons of mass destruction, it largely ignored the fact that North Korea announced to the world that it would soon be a nuclear power.
